So 8 months later I still do not have the plumbing issue fixed. The newest plumber  thinks it's on the city side. So they called the city to get them to check it out, this was back in June and I still have not heard from them. Just called the plumber again and they told me to call the city myself. They are already closed so I have to call in the morning. 

I guess since I have time on my hands since I am not fighting Samsuck anymore (I won). I guess I can start harassing the plumbers and city.

Outbound flight delayed for over hour-&-a-half, equipment replacement man.

No apology or anything from airline, last time we fly anybody but Southwest man.

 

In one week, put Many,000 ([2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2] + [2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2] + [2x2x2x2x2x2] - [2x2] miles on rental T-B.-mobile, which was Many (2x2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2) miles more than Many (2+2+1) years ago, hard to figure out how man.

 

Most GPS routes were along 2-lane country roads, highly scenic man.

 

Bought small-town & county & big-city newspapers to ship to Mama T-B., if senior she can't visit Iowa we bring Iowa to senior she man, si man.

 

Bought (mostly community-)college T-shirts for neighbor/neighborette, something unique man.

 

Bought (all resale) Many (2x2x2 -1) long-sleeved shirts, Many (2x2x2 -1) short-sleeved shirts, Many (2x2) long pants, Many (2+1) short pants, & 1 winter coat for Mini-B., larger sizes and preferred styles man.

 

Shipped most of same from various locations, too much/too heavy to luggage man.

 

Overnighted in a private-label motel, a Super Many (2x2x2), an EconoLodge, a Super Many (2x2x2), and an allegedly Many-star TripAdvisor hotel, phooey man.

 

Visited gigantic flea-market in small town, hadn't been for Many (2x2x2x2 -1) years man.

 

Attended pleasant hyskool-reunion functions on Friday & Saturday nights, very nice man.

Won Starbucks gift card for "having the youngest child," hoorah for Mini-B. man.

 

Had <2 hours' sleep before arising to catch return plane, 2-hour drive man.

GPS messed up, so got lost, uh-oh man.

Made plane and timely flight, miracle to say man.

Did not get ANY speeding-ticket the whole time, absolute miracle man.

Merely dozed on plane, minimal zzz man.

Luggage carouselled promptly & without incident, amazing man.

Retrieved by neighbor's amigo, talked like Speedy Gonzalez on a caffeine high man.

 

Reached casa at half-of-half till 10 a.m., dead-tired we man.

Ministered to indignant miu, brush & breakfast man.

Half of miu came out in brush, neighborette wimpy at miu-brushing man.

 

Without further ado, mowed entire lawn, dumb but highly necessary man.

 

Unpacked further goodies to give to neighbor/neighborette, inestimable kindnesses bestowed by them man.

 

Dragged our desperately tired corpus to Aldi + legacy supermarket, shop for Mini-B. man.

 

Breakfast/lunch/din-din = one wrapped supermarket sandwich, ingest we man.

 

Had <2 hours to nap, and finally did, heavy zzz we man.

 

Awoke in time for AFV with Mini-B., ex-Mrs.-T-B., & visiting Cousinette Mini-B., we and wee and ex-she and mini-she man.

 

Gave Mini-B. his GS books and several other goodies, spoil we man wee man man.

 

After Two Guys bedtime reading with Mini-B., slept like a dead thing and didn't feel much more rested all day Monday, only partially recovered we man.

Sadly sometimes need (or at least want) to go places where this is either impossible (aka outside of the US, Mexico, and the Caribbean) or really inconvenient despite Southwest being largest carrier out of Sandy Eggo by a lot.

 

But two bags included in the standard fare and no "basic economy" nonsense (aka assigned seats you don't get to pick, so conceivably PRG, mini-Dave, and I could be in three completely separate locations)? Yeah, let's go with that.

Down here in the FL Keys it's pronounced barracuda and it's a mean fish with razor sharp teeth.

 

Into our second week of vacation.  Last week we traveled north to Savannah GA.  It was very warm and my wife suffered.  First day took the hop on hop off trolley tour, then walked across town to a restaurant.  By the next morning my wife had blisters on her feet and she was done.  One additional day and then returned home.  A day at home to cut the grass and collect mail then down here to the Keys house.  Arrived Sunday and found that the AC was not working.  Spent a very uncomfortable night in the heat and humidity.  Wife was miserable.  Monday am the AC tech arrived and spent a few hours diagnosing the problem.  Faulty expansion valve.  He left saying he will be back when he has the part.  Texted him that late afternoon to ask if they had the part.  They told me they were waiting on the distributor to get back to them.  I knew the the part was not available in the Keys.  Called a friend who is an AC guy in Naples and he said he would pick up the part in the morning.  

 

Today our local AC guys didn't have much to say, still waiting.  Told them I could get the part.  Made the 2 1/2 hour drive to meet our friend half way, then drove the 2 1/2 hours back, and let the local guy know I had the part.  They will be here tomorrow am to fix the AC.  One more night of heat and humidity. 

 

I LOVE MY VACATION

 

My daughter and her husband are coming down Wednesday night or Thursday morning depending on if the boat trailer lights are working.  Son in law is NOT very handy when it comes to repairing things.  On top of that they lost the license plate for the boat trailer.

 

I need another beer...
