No, I think in general the process is speeding up. There are applicants in several recent months that have received an appointment notice within a month of biometrics reuse, and appointment itself another month later.

I have never seen a case that only take 2 months to get interview. You are super lucky one.

Hello Everyone!

I applied via paper application on Feb 08, under the 5 year rule. Good luck to everyone! I havent received NOA1, but I see that paper applications might take 6 weeks for the first NOA. Hoping that the fast processing times trend continues. Are online cases significantly faster than paper ones?

Hi Harami I also applied on paper and was received by USCIS feb 8 and like you I haven’t received the notice even though I sent the g-1145 form to be notified by text or email, it seems that the online applicants have been processed faster which tells me that USCIS and lawyers kind of mislead people to think that applications online and paper take the same time when it seems that USCIS have more preference to online applications because they are easy for them to work with , I might be wrong but that’s my opinion, anyway we have to wait and hopefully we hear from them soon. Good luck

Just out of curiosity, is there any specific reason you guys don't apply online which sounds more convenient and easier to follow?

Honestly I think everything that has to do with physical paperwork is taking longer due to covid, whereas an online application might be analyzed / processed from the comfort of the agent's home

My case was a bit complicated, so I hired a lawyer. I would have preferred online, but the lawyer just did paper applications so I just went with it. I imagine once the NOA comes with the notice number then I can follow the case on myuscis website anyway.

I randomly decided to check the uscis account today. It says as of today:

March 9, 2021

Interview Was Scheduled

On March 9, 2021, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number

I never expected this to be so fast! Now to keep an eye on the mail to find out when this is, no document uploaded yet with the date.
