Congrats to you both! Were there lots of people interviewing at the embassy?

Yes, she said there were a lot but there seemed to be a lot of people with poor documentation. Sad situation for a lot of folks but the silver lining for us was with correct and organized documentation the consular officer breezed through everything.

Hi All,

I know there have been a few of you who are waiting for the Ethiopian Embassy to start interviews again. I just wanted to post an update saying my fiance had her interview today and she was approved!

Our documentation was spot on because of visa journey. Her interview was 10 minutes and the only real question of note asked was where did we meet?

Our original interview date was March 19th if I remember correctly so we may have been at the front of the line for getting interviews. I just logged in one day and it said your interview is scheduled.

ohhh friend this makes me so happy! Thanks for sharing! Can you tell us briefly what sort of documentation you brought?

What was your DQ date?

I don't quite know what the DQ date is but I can give you my process.

We first applied in July of 2019 and received an approved 129-F in November by January 2020 we had scheduled our interview for March (March 19th, I believed) then the embassy closed two days before our interview.

Hi Rwisoursaviour- did they interviewers ask your fiance for a copy of your I-129f form? I heard in one interview in Addis they did and I'm getting worried as we did not make copies of the form....

No, we did not have a copy of our approved I-129f form. They had it already there. We did not have it nor even considered bringing it.
