I am confused because we did an online filing and on completion we got a message saying that the file is being processed in the Nebraska Service Center. The online account still shows that. However the NOA1 letter shows Potomac Visa Center at the bottom left corner.

So which is my service center?

If the letter show Potomac visa center than that is the center where you case is been processed the online is usually a generic message. If though if your case is been transferred to another center it will still shows Nebraska center

You don't get a new NOA if your service center changes, you get 1 and only 1 NOA for each action.

You can confirm with USCIS where your case is currently by contacting them.

Yes, we got one and only one NOA. The letter shows Potomac at the bottom, but the online account shows that the case is being processed in Nebraska

I’m in the same situation (online says Nebraska and letter says Potomac).. I contacted USCIS on our account via message and also live chat and both answered with Nebraska 🤔 I explained that the letter says Potomac and they said the only record they have for our case is at Nebraska.

Not confused or expecting the letter to change. When I asked the agent if I was transferred they said there was no record of my case being anywhere but Nebraska, just thought it was odd that Potomac didn’t come up on their system 🙂

Tier 1 support often doesn't have that much information, they just have very basic info, although that's something they would previously be able to tell.

So many changes this past 4 years to make things more difficult.

In our 3 cases, all our NOA 1 said Texas. But when checked online, it had always been Nebraska. We inquired thru the USCIS messaging and was told mine was in California. Got my NOA 2 and it said California.  Eventually got the NOA 2 for our kids’ cases and they were from Nebraska. Didn’t receive any notification of transfer. I said all that to say SC can change without notice. So even if you were told where it is today, it might only be good for today.

Well, it's kind of a relief to know we are not alone...

Guess we can just wait and see.

@From_CAN_2_US @Linos When you say "online says Nebraska and letter says Potomac" or  "the online account shows that the case is being processed in Nebraska" - what online feature are you referring to?

It seems the only info I can find is at the bottom of the letter; I don't see a field or a menu anywhere on the website that specifies the current processing center.

Are you both referring to asking a question in the live chat?

Thanks!

Other than your NOA you'll have to check with a rep to know if it changed.

You can do this with live chat "Ask Emma"

I wouldn't go crazy checking so often though, it's a waiting game regardless

When I said "Online", I meant when you enter your receipt number on this site:

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

It tells you the status and where your case is being processed.

Oddly it does not tell me where the case is being processed, simply that it is being actively reviewed (and has been for 3 months).

Emma seems unable to respond, other than highlighting the 5 processing centers. The 1-800 line was also not fruitful.

I sent an email through the e-mailing function on my USCIS profile... we'll see if that's an info that can be provided.
