Helloo everyone!

First update for a while... yesterday I got a letter on my mail saying:

"USCIS has received your form and it's currently processing your application, petition, or request. This notice informs you that USCIS is able to reuse your previous captured fingerprint and other biometrics. USCIS will run the same security checks and use your biometric data as in the past, however, it is not necessary for you to appear at a USCIS Applicant Support Center for a biometrics appointment. The biometric fee will not be refunded"

Good luck guys :)

So after 10 days my case has been pushed up to the original time-line of July, after it was changed on Feb12th due to them reusing my Bio, to October. Feels good again. Maybe I'll be surprised again with another date change.

Hi all!

I filed my N-400 online on 10/1/2020. My local office is Cleveland, OH. Can't wait for this final step in my journey!

At the time of filing, my case completion said January 2021 (I always knew this wasn't going to happen). Then, after January passed, it changed to July 2021. In the meantime, nothing at all has happened in my case in over 5 months- which seemed a bit long based on Cleveland historical timelines I had seen. Is it nornal for it to be this long without even a biometrics appointment? Anyone here in Cleveland that filed around October 2020? Would love to connect!

I am assuming I don't qualify for biometrics re-use, since I entered on an IR-1 visa- all the processing was done abroad and I didn't have to do ROC, and so haven't had any interactions with USCIS at all stateside. Maybe this is my holdup, since there is a backlog of biometrics appointments?

Good luck to everyone else on their journey, and I'd love to hear from some Cleveland filers!

Hi everyone,

I applied 5 months ago now and still no word on biometric reuse or appointment.

Is anyone else in the same boat? Should I call them?

Same here! Let me know what happens if you end up calling them.

Same here. My husband is s waiting for an update. He too entered as IR-1, so we have figured the same that they most likely will not re-use the biometrics.

We're not out of Cleveland but Montgomery. Wish you luck and hope you have an update soon.
