On the I-944 there is a question about health insurance. Each month I renew my travel insurance from Canada.  I was under the impression I wasn’t able to obtain health insurance here until I had an SSN number? I am in Florida. Any help would be great!
will the travel insurance be sufficient for the time being? Or should I look into another option?

Highly unlikely travel insurance would cover someone immigrating.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

You can be added to your spouse's medical insurance within a certain time period of marriage, or when the new enrollment begins - The insurance company will use a placeholder for the SSN, search the topics there is a recent thread on this.

Travel insurance is almost always sold on the assumption and basis that the person is returning. If you’ve decided to stay and start the AOS procedure you are likely to find that the travel insurance is now null and void - check the fine print. It’s also useless for your circumstances. Travel insurance will cover a hospital stay until you are well enough to fly and will then demand that you return “home” to continue your treatment there. That would mean you either abandon the AOS or continue the treatment here on a self-pay basis. It certainly won’t cover regular ongoing things such as routine dental visits, wellness checks, minor ailments, family planning, etc. It’s to cover emergencies that a tourist might encounter such as emergency dental work or injuries in an accident.

Your profile says you are pursuing IR1/CR1 visa.  I-944 would not be required for spouse visa application.  Are you abandoning that and adjusting status instead?  Travel insurance would not be valid if you don't intend to return.  Check with your travel insurance provider.

Thanks for clarifying.  As @SusnOwen said, you might want to check out the discussions here on VJ about health insurance coverage for new immigrants.  Here's a recent example --
