Hopefully, the trend of getting things to open up again continues. I'm trying to be optimistic that full embassy operations will begin to ramp up on October 1, also. The mayors of metro Manila will vote on Sunday to reduce restrictions to MGCQ.

Crud is getting old.... Averaging around 3500 cases a day and everything is still locked down. Ridiculous.

Boracay is overrated at best.... You should really look at Bantayan Island.

While I agree, the people of Philippines seem to love the place.

My best guess is since most can't swim and you can walk out far into the water and it's still knee deep, and also there are no waves makes it a good place for them.

Plus they had or still have ( I have not been back since the makeover) lots of activities, like;  Jet Ski, Flying Fish ride, 4 wheeler rental,  etc and activities to do it makes it a good family place to go.
