Track your package to the lockbox to ensure they received it. Once they receive your application package they will scan the necessary documents into the system. They will cash your check and send you a notice which is referred to as the NOA1. That notice does come until 2-4 weeks after they receive your package. Other than that.....

 

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. I had another quick question that I don’t think really matters at this point in time, but I would just like to know when I may need to do something. Fiancé is finishing school in Japan and will be there until mid next year—however may have to return to South Korea (country of citizenship) sooner than that, thus the visa interview/consulate location would likely be different.

 

should this be the case (sorry as I’m only speaking in hypotheticals, I was just hoping for advice), would I not contact someone until the case arrives at the NVC about the change of consulate?

If the file is at NVC it's best to call them to arrange for transfer. If the case is at the embassy, then you must contact the embassy for the transfer to take place to the new embassy. Keep in mind you may experience longer transfer time if the file is at the embassy. Some say 20-60 days delay. NVC just turns your record around before shipment to the new requested embassy.

I know everything is slowed. but being stuck here due to my job I decided to put in I-129F. I just sent everything today. let me know what you think and if you are in a similar situation

Package arrived today. I did not send a check. Instead I sent a form G-1145 so I will wait to see the charge on my credit card !

You meant to say that you used Form G-1450, Authorization for Credit Card Transactions and not G-1145 E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance.

Yes. In fact we are working at the "exact" same speed. I just updated my profile and they have just charged my credit card ! Maybe I should apply for a job there
