rouguewave CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bill y Bella is right!!!!! The Colombia Club got the hook up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, and good luck on your trip. I think its the right thing to do.

When honey ko was sick in Oct (not as serious as Leidy) I sat here frustrated for almost 2 weeks, until she went into the hospital and I'd had enough. Early on Friday morning I bought a ticket and boarded a flight later that day for Manila, Philippines. She didn't know I was coming.

It was a wonderful surprise and helped incredibly with her recovery, both physically and emotionally.

Am I right in reading that Roguewave is a mid July filer??

Holy #######, that might mean that us not-long-after-them-July-filers might be seeing their approval within a couple of weeks??!

EARLY DECEMBER MAYBE??!

Holy #######!

Given that VSC seems to jump ahead sometimes, it is possible.

One thing to keep in mind however, is that USCIS is only about 40% finished with June and there are a LOT of July petitions in the pipeline. As long as VSC does not slow way down again I am sure that plenty of July filers will receive approvals between now and Christmas. However, unless VSC speeds up A LOT, they will also still be processing July petitions well into January.

I am a late July filer and given the current pace I have my fingers crossed that I will receive my NOA2 before the end of January. With that said, I will admit that I take an occasional peak at my USCIS online status just in case. Heck, if they can approve 5 September petitions in October anything is possible.

Well, I mean, everything I have been told says that the current average is still 5.2 months.

December is our 5 month mark, and the more late June and July petitions I see approved, the more I think we'll see ours in December.

Maybe I am being overly optimistic, but yeah. I can totally see us getting approved by this time next month if not sooner (?).

I'm sure you'll find a way to crush my optimism though :P

Nah, I am not in the mood for crushing. Maybe just a small reality check OK? :)

So far this month VSC has issued 46 approvals. That is 6 more then the next most productive month this year (March). Maybe if they really hustle that total will be up to 66 by the end of November. The average per month through October was only 23 but who knows, it could happen.

However, given how many July filers are in the pipeline(92), as well as those left from May(13) and June(34), there is no way we can all be approved by Christmas even at a 66 approvals per month pace.

It is realistic for all July filers to hope for an approval before Christmas. It is not realistic to assume that we will all be approved by Christmas unless VSC increases the pace of approvals dramatically. Let's hope they do exactly that!

I can't necessarily argue against that, but at the same time, the fact that some May filers have seemingly been left by the wayside makes me wonder that there isn't something wrong with their petitions. I mean, we all feel bad for Mirla and Byron, and we thought that their cases were just a case of '####### VSC' but then they both got RFE's.

Does that mean all 13 remaining May Filers are RFE's? Not necessarily.

But honestly at this point, I mean...there is little rhyme or reason why VSC is doing anything the way they are. They have approved people ahead of us, and now it appears they are steadily moving through June and July...but there are still May and June people waiting.

At the rate we're going, July will either be done before June or not done until nearly February (right when that wonderful 6 month mark starts rapidly approaching).

I won't try and say my optimism might be a little naive, but at a time where we have no idea what the hell is really going on at VSC, I'm going to take any glimmer of hope and run with it, at least for a little while

I hope that the letters sent to VSC will be helpful to all...we are on day 193...we have a congressman looking into ours...I called today and they said they would not call again until next week due to the holidays...

Sure would like to get an email from CRIS!!!!

Charlene,

Don't just wait on the Cris email. Keep manually checking the USCIS web site. I never did get the Cris email for my NOA 2 and my package is already at the embassy. The USCIS web site is correct though when I check it manually. Funny that I still get the USCIS website update emails, but never did get the Cris email. Good luck.

O.K. guys....my morning has been on the phone so here is what I have found out.....First I did my obligitory call to USCIS customer service...I use that term lightly....and I told them that today I was at 170 days.....on December 1 I will be at 180 days and past there stated service dates of 6 months....she told me that on 181 days I can make a formal request for service.....I ask what recourse do I have as a customer who is getting bad service from this agency has....she said after they are 30 days past the 180 days making it 210 days I can put in a formal complaint which they have 60 days to respond....so I said o.k. and moved on......I called the lawyer we used and this is where I got the most information.....It took me a while but he finally came on the line to talk to me....He told me that his office had gotten at least 30 applications filed less then 45 days ago approved from Vermont....I am thinking that couple that we got from 2 weeks ago where from that group.....He said the immigration lawyers association is meeting with VSC head counsel today and hopeful will bring back some explanation of the violation of there own policies in processing these applications out of order...even if they are for training....He said that there were about 1000 pending application that are within 20 days will be outside of there service targets for K1's which then triggers some kind of internal review......He suggested that certified letters to the director of the service center from as many people as possible be sent diplomatically complaining about....1.length of time to process..2.priority of famly based application due to service to American citizens instead of work or study visas for non citizens...3. the apparent violations of there own policies of taking applications out of order to either decrease there wait time ratios or as they say training....He cautioned me to not be aggressive in the letters just ask for reason for these breaches of policy.......He also asked that we contact our Senators and Congressman and ask the same questions.......so I called both Senators offices and faxed inquiries to them and to my Congressman......I am telling you they all say the same thing about this agency......I am also composing a letter to Mr. Gonzalez and the ombudsman for USCIS.........Can you guys help.........I know some of you all are moved past my stage but this is not getting any better very quickly without pressure.......Lora

you are so my hero i know weve all been thinking it... but now is the time... im following your lead .... im sending one tomorrow and if have to ill "Shaw shank Redemption" them, ill send one every day till i get a response at 40 cents a day its worth any penny.. 123 DAYS STILL NO NOA 1!..............YES NOA ONE UNO...nada

ok let me know start a topic if you get a responce. one love J

yeah, Jason; when I went to USCIS I had a whole load of script... scroll down below it though; you can still enter your case number :)

congratulations to all the recent approvees! so fabulous to know that VSC is having such a blinder :)

as far as being approved by Christmas - it seems to me that the same thing is happening at VSC as is happening at CSC: the approvals spread out over a six to eight week period (of NOA1 dates, I mean)... so at the moment the approvals are coming a bit from second half of May, any time in June, and first half of July, and if you're pretty much anywhere in that period you could get lucky :)

so I agree with Bill, that they won't ALL be approved in that time period unless things speed up markedly, but I also think thejoz has reason to be cautiously optimistic ;)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.
