Consulate Review: Peru
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 2, 2008
Embassy Review : We arrived at 7 am for our 815 appointment. We waited in line about 20 minutes then a man came out and looked at our papers and directed us to go through security then to another line next to the building. A young woman came out and directed us to sit in the first section. It was 800 when they started to call people to the windows. We were the 3rd called. The woman at window 12 was rather distracted with the pleasantries going on with all of the other screeners....She gave Oscar a form to fill out that we already had given to here.....then forgot to get my 134´s or proof of income from me....all the time laughing with her friends....She asked Oscar how we met. she asked me if I speak spanish in spanish....which I replied I understand and read alot but speak a little....she asked Oscar to speak English to her which he did.....she told us to go sit down......At 830 we were called into room 15....We both set down....She asked to see my passport.....Took Oscar´s fingerprints then asked if he wanted the interview in Spanish or English....He said in english that he was nervous and prefered Spanish please.....She then asked me 3 questions...How many times have I been married...answer 1... How many children do I have 5 and living with me 2......and what was the youngests age 10.....She then told me to sit outside......I walked out and could here her laugh and Oscar laughing in about 3 minutes she called me back.....She asked if I ever seen the movie...Best of Show....I said no she recommended we see it in the US together....She said YOUR VISA IS APPROVED.....I asked Oscar what she asked him....He said.....Where did you met.....Did she tell you how old she was when you met.....How many children she has....What does she do for a living....and then the rest was about dogs....Oscar´s passion is Amstaff.....So after that it was all dogs...Oh well thank God we got a dog lover for an interviewer....
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
