Hey guys! My husband and I received an RFE about a month ago (there was an issue with the translation of our marriage certificate!) and within a week of having received it, our response was back in the hands of the Potomac Center Offices. Our case has been expedited, but its been two weeks since our response was received and we haven't heard anything. I just got off the phone with them, and they said it could take up to 60 days, but that that is just the limit of how long it can take. How long has it taken everyone else to get their RFE's processed through USCIS Potomac center?

Thanks!

It really varies, but lately it seems it's been weeks rather than months.

What was wrong with your translation btw?

I also translated mine.

That's good news at the very least!

Actually we are not entirely sure, though we had our translation done in Ukraine and their English was less than perfect.

For the RFE we had the translation done in the USA by a company with 30 years USCIS document translation experience. If you want their info let me know. They were great.

You know you can do it yourself, if you look through the forums a lot of people do it themselves, you just have to sign a piece of paper saying you're fluent in the language.
