Yep I just received it also. Why has it taken this long to have some clarity on the situation especially when the travel ban is up soon ? or am I missing something ?

From reading that email it suggests that they will no longer process K1s as they are part of the Executive Order (which most assumed they weren't, as they are Non Immigrant visas)

I was under the impression that the K1 wasn't under the EO also.

Very confused now as I have a 5 month old daughter and K1 comes under the EO but then the EO states:

(iii) any alien who is the parent or legal guardian of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, provided that the U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident is unmarried and under the age of 21

Then the email sent by DOS doesn't state that quote ^ lol.

Just received this interesting email, anyone else?

I was pretty suspicious this would be the case considering they mention the presidential proclamation under "Will my immigrant or fiancé(e) visa case expire?/Can I continue with the application process?"

I've created a separate thread for it over on the K1 board, lets see what the wider community thinks:

Good that somebody from the Dept of State clarified. I never thought K1 visas were going to be included as exceptions when the presidential proclamation was issued, even though the VJ discussions seemed to think so.

@goldhex was your new interview appointment in August cancelled when they sent out that confusing email?

No it wasn't which I find strange. Seems that those like @Ah96 who rescheduled for the end of July were cancelled immediately, but July wasn't.

If you look at the thread I created on the K1 board, an Australian lady was recently approved for a K1.

Interesting. My fiancé had his appointment cancelled on July 6th and then he rescheduled on July 30th which was also cancelled after the second email. Maybe they just cancelled July. Nothing showing in appointment site now though

Yeah, what? I thought that K1 was exempt from the ban because it was a non-immigrant temporary visa where the green card & permanent status was obtained after an adjustment of status? I've also heard that the extension from the original 60 days is now only for H-1B visas (although not too much has been posted about it on sites aside from speculation of what Trump might decide)?
