hey guys!! I'm really having hard times with figuring out what to do in my situation, i really hope i can get some advise from you.

I moved to the USA to my husband under CR-1 visa i was issued in Moscow. When i came here i applied to SS number.

Since I moved here i haven't gotten any updates from the US Government on what to do next in my case, I haven't gotten GreenCard via mail (like they told me during the interview when they were issuing my CR-1). My CR-1 expires in a couple of months and I'm just lost here and don't know what i have to do here.

Thank you in advance for any helpful advice.

Firstly , the CR1 is a single use visa .. used to enter the US as a spouse and be granted LPR status. Having done that, the CR1 visa in your passport is done .. it’s expiry date is meaningless. You are now an LPR and the stamped visa is acting as your proof of status for up to  1 year ..it is  your temporary green card .. I551.. use it until your physical green card arrives.

Did you pay the $220

green card fee after your successful interview ? If so, you will have a receipt number .. usually IOE......... that you can use to check the status of production of your card. If you didn’t pay this fee, you need to do so ASAP, as the production of the card will not start until this fee is paid.

What address did you give in your ds260 or  at POE for the green card mailing address. If you no longer live at this address , you must notify USCIS of the address change online using an AR11. Best check with USCIS what address they have on file for you now.

It would also be helpful to know the arrival date.  It puts "what's next" in the proper context.

I found this info online from the Social Security Administration and attached an excerpt:

https://www.ssa.gov/ssnumber/ss5doc.htm

Whenever "outside" and government offices open up to the public after this covid-19 pandemic, you and your husband should visit the social security office.
