Green Card Extension letter and renewing DL

I am about to apply for ROC. My 2 year GC expires in July. I know that I will get the 18month extension letter in the mail. My DL expires on the day my GC does.

 

How will I renew my DL? FYI NC DMV does not list extension letter as valid proof of legal presence. AND when I went with NOA1 after applying for my 2 year they wouldn't accept so I had to wait for my green card.

You bring the extension letter to dmv, they will know what’s up.

Talk to the supervisor.  Explain that the extension letter nullifies the expiration date printed on the card, and it establishes a new expiration date 18 months later.  Your status does not really expire...

Thanks... I know that it sounds just that simple but I’ve had major issues in the past. Even talking to supervisors. And at the end of the day, if they say no there isn’t anything I can do. Just stressing out over here lol

I would  go to other DMV offices.

How many DMV offices do you have over there? We have a ton where I live, same with SSA. Whenever I can't get what I want (and what I know I have the right to) from one office, I go to the next. Many offices are much better than some others, I've noticed.

Thanks guys! Will try going around different counties. 
We do have them in every county. I will definitely try everything I can. After all, I’m not about to lose my job without trying.
I spoke to 2 supervisors at two different DMVs last time and gave up after that. They were not budging. But I didn’t have a job then or a mortgage to pay haha

That is for proving age and identity. Not for proving legal presence. Legal presence has its own list of acceptable documents. 
Not to mention that is for ‘renewing a license that has been lost or stolen’ QUOTE. Which mine has not. I have read their website pretty thoroughly.

Their instructions are unclear then, because for renewal in person, I would only see the part I quoted [

Could you please show me where they are asking for more, I only see it as a requirement for a REAL ID licence?  

 

(to be clear, I am not arguing with you. I sympathize with you that their requirements are not clear on their own site...)

Good news, it is listed again.

Please read my original post where I clearly said I had tried and failed with a notice of action.
