Can a US Citizen work in Canada and resides in USA?

Hi! I was just wondering if it's allowed for a US Citizen to work in Canada (physically, not just online) while residing in America on a daily basis?

 

For example: people who lives here in Niagara Falls, NY.

 

As US Citizens are they allowed to have a job in Canada side (do the commute and immigration every morning to CA and come back at night to US)?

How will this affect their taxes?

 

I tried to look for answers online but it’s usually the other way around.

With an appropriate visa.

 

Taxes would be complicated, Canada would have first dip but US taxes you on your world wide income, I would imagine there would not be much if anything to pay in the US.

 

Medical Insurance would be a pain, no doubt you would need to buy as an individual.

Stupid me, posted a reply to the wrong thread, had 2 tabs open at the same time.

 

OK back to where we were, to work in Canada as a USC you need a work visa, now probably the most common is the TN, assuming you qualify, something you really need to discuss with the Canadian Employer.
