Filing I-129F after I-130 Gambit for quicker approval

Forgive me for not searching previous threads on the subject, but I want to report information I'm aware of on two cases where the petitioner filed I-129F after the I-130 in an attempt to speed up I-130 approval.  Both were filed in either late September or early October.  One approved three weeks ago and the other (actually the earlier filing) approved yesterday.  Both IOE case numbers.  Just an FYI.  This does indicate anything about now or the future.  Just a couple data points.  Neither is a VJ member.

Previously it was Nebraska!

Lincoln IS Nebraska but the Potomac one was transferred from Lincoln first with the I-129F being in Vermont.

Yes that is the change plus the IOE numbers.

Yes - it has been hypothesized that when the I-129F is filed with a SHORTER processing than for the I-130 that the USCIS will simply go ahead and process the I-130.

Once the I-130 is approved, the I-129F need not be processed.

Of course, there is no way of knowing what REALLY goes on behind the scenes, but filing the (no fee) I-129F can give a little boost to the I-130 in that way.

The idea being - Your I-129F is simply deep sixed, while the I-130 is passed along to the NVC a little bit sooner.

Apparently it's been going on for at least 6 years.

My advice is to FILE the I-129F for a little bit of free assurance.  Even if the I-129F is slower,  that could change by the time it's processed.

I looked on USCIS but I couldn't find out if you have to pay for the I-129F after paying for the I-130 and getting the I-797. https://www.uscis.gov/family/family-us-citizens/k-3k-4-nonimmigrant-visas

No fee to file the I-129F after the I-130 for a spouse.  Just include the receipt notice for the I-130.  The I-129F has instructions for filing for a spouse.
