I may see him there - mine is at 2pm, same date, same field office. Let's hope the winter storm is not too bad and we can drive there without too many problems. I am coming from Potomac, MD!

We're coming from Cumberland, 2 hours away! We're going to come down Tuesday and spend the night so we don't have to worry about the storm in the morning.

I just checked the new site and found a biometrics reuse letter dated 12/14/2020.  Finally some movement.  Interesting fact my last biometrics were for ROC back on 22014-10-08, so more than 6 years ago!  Anyway feeling good after finally some movement following months of nothing.

Interestingly I had no email / txt about the biometrics letter.  The old site shows nothing, no change to status, next steps etc.  New site also shows no changes to the first 2 tabs (stll saying it is taking longer than expected), but the letter is there in the documents tab.  So keep checking that documents tab people!!

Hi everyone, I applied my N400(base on 3 years marriage )on march 6th 2020 and I still haven't got my re biometric appointment. the thing is we are not doing good with my husband currently and planning to get separate. In this point I want to withdraw my application to be safe. Do you guys have any idea is it ok to withdraw for future n400 application ? and  I guess thats the right thing to do  , I'll be appreciate if you share your opinion about it.

Same here. I did not receive any notifications, but I just checked the documents tab of my account and found the biometrics reuse letter dated December 14, 2020. My last biometrics were taken April 2015.

Hi. About your situation, it reminded me of a video I saw on youtube. maybe it will help.

"  We have been seeing many cases of where someone doesn't want to continue with their immigration case and instead of withdrawing the case, they never respond to USCIS and let it "die". Always withdraw a case if you do not want to continue, or else it may confuse USCIS and affect your future immigration applications."

I just received the biometrics notice today. My letter said that they will reuse the previous biometrics from last year when we lifted conditions. They are continuing to process the application and will update me on the status.

Anyone know how long it could take to get the interview scheduled?

I am also in southern CA and it looks like southern CA, the slowest place in the world, is finally moving forward.

There is no typical time.  From other posts on these forums I have seen anything from under 2 weeks to others who are still waiting for an interview several months after receiving the letter.  All we can assume from the letter is that your application is being worked on.

Thanks, to your point I was reassured by the letter that things were still moving forward at least.

Hi everyone, I have my interview coming up in 3 weeks. I know that the oath is after that, though for some it's on the same day or shortly after. So, I may be asking this a bit in advance but I thought I should ask ahead of time.

I know that after a successful oath, people get a certificate of naturalization. Do applicants also get a digital copy, for example one that'd be uploaded to the USCIS edocuments tab?

Otherwise, if we don't immediately scan in this document, losing it would be very problematic. I know, the same could be said of the greencard, which we have to relinquish at the oath stage.

Does this document then render you eligible to apply for the US passport? I read that it has to be certified-isn't the original document you receive certified?
