The process is that you send your documentation to the Dallas address as specified in the instructions. Once USCIS received your file they proceed to break it down and scan what they need. Some paper artifacts are kept and sent to CSC to follow you each step of the way to your embassy interview. Some of your submission will be destroyed as it is not needed for the process. Most of your record will be in the computer. This is in everyone's case not just yours.

I hope this helps explain the initial steps.

Thanks for the info! :)

Almost a month in from when my application was received. I don't know how predictable timelines are for NO2 due to the pandemic.  I just hope everyone is doing the best they can to stay safe amid this terrible health crisis.

You can be either it's your choice. But if you want a definitive answer I'd say March filer!

You're off to a good start. Let's make your time here uneventful with some tips. You can be in either group. Since February has the most history, as it's been here the longest, you may want to join that group and read the entire thread so you can see what questions are being asked and what replies are being said. Or you can join March and read February's thread.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

I'm late to this party. Just got our profile to update a little bit.

March 16th - Mailed out our completed I-129F application

March 20th - Confirmation picked up at Dallas, TX Lockbox

March 24th - Check cashed, Text confirmation of NOA1

I believe we recieved our hard copy NOA1 (I-797) in the mail about a week after the text (official date on NOA1 was  March 23rd) - Application will be processed at California Service Center

Now... waiting 😁 oh, so nervously.

You're feeling the same feelings that we all have or had. You're not alone. A while back I authored an article with information on how to trust the process and lower your expectations. With lower expectations, you are not in a state of nervousness. Most who go through the visa process get approved and that will be the case for the two of you.

Now here is that article I wrote:

Remember; Trust the process!
