Divorced twice but only sent last certificate

Received our NOA1 last week but upon reading threads from 5 years ago, I noticed people had RFE's when only one divorce certificate had been submitted. Has this happened to anyone in more recent times after getting their NOA1?

Thanks

Ages ago or more recently.   Requirements are still the same

YMMV

Expect an RFE and have the documents ready to go. Maybe they'll miss it, you'll be surprised how many things get missed. If they do miss it, I suggest you have the other one ready to go and present it during the interview.

I would think that if your first Wife AND second Wife are both listed on the petition, you would have to include both Divorce judgments from the court.

It would almost be like checking a box that you were arrested, they would want to see a record of that.

It's more along the lines of they need to verify that they are free to marry. To do so, they need to verify that all previous marriages were dissolved. Just showing that the last marriage was dissolved doesn't mean the first one was dissolved...bigamy is no stranger to immigration.

Also be ready to submit copies of both court-certified divorce decrees, all the pages.  Sometimes a one page "divorce certificate" is not enough.  They want everything, even if it includes a lot of pages, some have been denied or received an RFE for only submitting the single page signed by the judge or court clerk.  If you don't have certified copies of the full divorce decrees, you can order them from the county clerk office where the divorce was filed and finalized.
