But how would that work without a sponsor?

And where should we live? She lives with her parents right now, but I couldn't move in with them. So we would need our own apartment and pay for a security deposit. Thats another $1,500.

And I think I should save up at least $5,000-,$6,000 before I go. Just to make sure I have enough money if something unexpected happens.

US is not cheap and those numbers look very low.

That didn’t bother you when you filed AOS. Who was your joint sponsor then?

So much more money?

the filing fee, NVC costs etc will be very close to the same price of a flight to go visit her.. with the added bonus that you’ll have 12mths inbetween payments to save up for it, for her to find work and for you to find a sponsor..

seems your making excuses.. there’s no easy options here.. you think moving to Canada will be cheaper? Seriously

With a petitioner who has limited disability income and no joint sponsor available, an immigrant visa is out of the question.

OP stated previously that his wife's parents were joint sponsors for his AOS, but are not willing to do it again.

That’s a very closed mindset.. there are many people with disabilities both physical and mental that would argue otherwise..

ive worked with people who have amputations from the elbows down, that are in wheel chairs and who have suffered massive brain injury’s that are not only as capable as I at their job, but who would surprise the hell out of you with what they are actually capable of..

it comes down to wanting something... and if they don’t try, then of course they will not reap the rewards.

Obviously there are people with disabilities who can, and do, work.  In the OP's situation, it doesn't sound very likely or realistic though.

It’s still not clear why OP’s spouse has not looked for a new job.

Exactly.. hence. Comment.. we shouldn’t assume they can’t work or earn enough to become a sponsor in their own right.. they both need to work harder to achieve desired outcomes. Income and sponsor issues can be overcome.. 30k really isn’t that much

i think the op is looking for an easy out, where will he live? esta? vacations? work in Canada? lack of job? No money? etc all alternatatives to actually filling  i130...

having a disability isn’t an excuse, I’ve got 2 grown kids in chairs, it dosent hold them back unless they want it to or if others expect it too.. but they adjust and usually succeed where they really want to.. Just my opinion.

Why can’t you move in with them? She’s your wife, their her family and now yours.. it’s not indefinite.. only until you both get on your feet... or do you plan on living separately for the rest of your married lives?

The problems your listing are not unique to you.. many married couples starting out have the same problems and overcome them.

I wonder what made them change their mind. I have drawn my own conclusions...

Just a wild guess, but maybe her parents don't fancy having another person to support?
