Just wanted to say that every time I see the title of this thread it brings a smile to my face. I'm so glad you can get on with the next stage and, more importantly, the business of LIVING now Shona. M.

PS...we should meet up sometime...I know you're in lower MI, but we're only over in WI...and very northern WI...we could go to the top of the UP and you could come on over or whatever...we should work it out one day...would be a blast! Come to think of it, Craig has been feeling so much better the last several months now...when I finally get a job and we both have income, we should FINALLY do that WI meetup that we've only been talking about up 'til now! We could do a "Great Lakes" meet or something..>WI, Minnesota, Michigan and whoever else wants to come... anyway, another thread another day! M.

It would be great to meet up at some point. Once I get my EAD I'll be able to work and travel around a bit. Until then I'm stuck in Niles. Once I get my Green Card I'll probably move down to Fort wayne, Indiana.

No I'm not quite in the clear yet, still have to AOS which is apparently a lot less stringent for VAWA petitioners ie no affadavit of support is required (still neeed to show I won't be a public charge but if I'm working anyway it won't matter.

My attorney is filing a motion to terminate the removal proceedings- so we will see what happens.

About 10 o'clock this morning I received a call from my Congresslady. MY I360 HAS BEEN APPROVED. I'm in total shock crying and shaking . After nearly two years of waiting my emotions are just simply overwhelmed. I'm finally going be me again and will be able to move past this and live my life again. Thank you God for answering my prayers and thank you Steve my boyfriend for putting up with me through all this ordeal.

I called my attorney who hadn't yet heard. She called the Congresslady and then my attorney called me back. My petition had been approved on May 30th although there was no message online to say that I had been approved.

I just want to thank all of you who have been through this with me. Your constant kind words of encouragement and support have meant so much to me I can't thank you all enough.

Do you know how long it takes after I360 approved to get the I485 approval if it was already pending?
