I guess because I've read of some people being asked to get a sponsor even with them making over qualifying limit. I guess I wonder how that can happen.

There's a whole lot involved with that. It's not just meeting a income guideline. Remember you meeting the guideline means you are poor. These are the POVERTY guidelines.

There are self employed. People who current or past didn't meet guidelines. They are on Public aid. Beneficiary has a not to good job history. All that plays a part in being deemed a public charge.

Do not read into others dilemma it has nothing to do with you. You are well above the guidelines go with that. Nothing to worry about.

What type of questions will be asked at the interview? Also should the sponsors write a letter on how we will support?

Too late for writing anything. All kinds of questions?

Exactly, and to be honest we were people watching trying to identify those that got approved and denied.  It kept us occupied as we was there from 645 to about 1030ish.

that's really and truly the plan.

I'm so happy I'll be able to go too because I was worried that the interview wouldn't happen while I was here with him

Hoping everyone else receive their letters very soon!

Can you confirm your Document Qualified in December or October?  I thought you was DQ on Oct 21, 2019.  I just want to get the correct timeline what dates the Dakar Embassy working on. @dwheels76 @Houleye Dianka

We've talked about it, I can't extend too far because of work, we decided that if its a case that whatever needs to be sorted out cannot be, then i'll go home and wait for him. but we're not gonna rush it. if he's not coming up til april or later, then a suh, its prolly for the best, yadda yadda.

oh thats gonna be great, going through the port of entry process together.

I really really hope we can do the same, but I've accepted that theres a possibility of that not happening and I'm still excited to pick him up from the airport

Ok. Yes, that does make more sense. I try not to pay attention too much into others case because everyone's is differrent. He has always worked after he graduated with his bachelor's and I've never been on public aid ect. I was only about 3,000 over the requirement 3 years ago but every year Its increased and that shows on my taxes..Thank You for that! Sometimes I just need to hear it from someone else 😊
