Miami office is very slow, I see a lot of people getting interview date but no one from Miami😭

I think the office closer to the coast will be a little slower to schedule. The Offices that have scheduled appointments for January filers are a further inland and further away from hot spots.

Pittsburgh, Nashville, Memphis, Ft. Smith, Kansas City, and San Antonio.

Just had my interview this morning.

My case is pretty straightforward and the interview officer was very kind and professional. Status changed to “Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled” even before I left the building!

Congratulations!!!

Hi.

I believe you will get better answers to your specific question here https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/127-effects-of-major-family-changes-on-immigration-benefits/

and you should also be able to find responses if you use the search function on the site.

The scenario you describe above is not possible - VAWA is only for those that are not already legal permanent residents. I assume you are saying that the person removed conditions with an abuse waiver? You might want to confirm because this is a very important distinction. When filing removal of conditions, it can be with an abuse waiver, and/or with a divorce waiver. If both was filed, the person needs to check which one was approved (divorce or abuse). Once you have that info, you can post your question in the above forum and will be helped :) This group is for N400 filers that have filed in January 2020 so you're unlikely to find the best responses here.

This would have to be 5yr residency requirement since VAWA was filed to obtain ROC. The 3yr requirement is only done for married couples.

No vawa can apply after 3 years of green card holder. That’s why many really want the vawa.

I don't think any real vawa applicants wants vawa. Sorry. I couldn't care less if I become a citizen after 3 or 5 years - if I get to choose between abuse and waiting two more years for citizenship, i would certainly NOT choose the abuse.

I didn’t say all. There have been many cases on here where people have i they were abused and wanted they vawa because it also give them access to USC after 3 years. It just makes it harder for those who really struggled and were abused. But bottom line is that they can apply after 3 years and don’t have to wait 5 years.

Anyone from Massachusetts got new interview date? My field office is Lawrence MA. I applied January 27th,  got biometric February 20th, since they are still reviewing my case for N400 nothing is outstanding. They will let me  know if they need anything from me.

Same here, I'm in Queens, NY. My case completion estimation says September 2020. But i don't trust too much on that date. 🤷‍♂️

As far as I know, there is only one filer in this group in MA, and Boston is their Field Office. They have not reported having an appointment scheduled.

I added you to our Jan 2020 filers spreadsheet.

I applied on jan 5th and have a colleague that applied jan 6th, both in Boston, MA. He did have an interview scheduled in April that still hasn’t been rescheduled. I haven’t received any updates since my biometrics on jan 29th.
