No updates other than receiving a Courtesy Letter for Form I-693. We chose not to send our medical exam with our AOS package. Anyone else get a similar letter?

That’s a good thing. It means your case status will change to ‘Case is ready to be scheduled for interview’ soon.

I sent my Medical exam so I won’t be receiving that

Hi all. New to this forum. I've recently filed my wife and my 485s so interested to follow on this thread.

I posted this on the K1/K3 thread by mistake at first, but my application is employment based. Also I'm not seeing a specific November thread so posting here as my noa came through a week before December.

Timeline:

First NOA: 22 November 2019

BIO Appt: 18 December 2019

Transferred to NBC: 23rd December 2019

Will I be notified that the case has actually moved from the NBC to local field office? Anyone else in the DC/Northern Virginia area with good news?

L1-B & L2 to AOS (EB3 skilled)

Northern Virginia (DC Office)

22nd November 2019: NOA1 received

18th December 2019: Biometrics completed

23rd December 2019: Transferred to NBC

28th February 2020: Ready for interview

3rd March 2020: i-797C stating interview scheduled for April 7th

<--- Interviews cancelled due to Covid --->

20th October 2020 - i-797C stating permanent residence approved (Welcome to the United States of America)

31st October 2020 - Both green cards in hand!

You should see a change in online status once the case moves from NBC to local office . Other than its Netflix and Chill

Hi folks, I am confused as to how I should file taxes with my wife. Recently, I was told that I must file taxes jointly with her but my income was very low in 2019. On the other hand, she was issued a 1099 which basically means she has to pay the IRS for the income she earned in 2019. should I file as married but separately so she does not add more debt to pay to the IRS?

2019-12-04:       I-765 / I-485 sent

2019-12-10:       NOA received

2020-01-03:       Biometrics appointment

2020-05-07:       EAD received

2020-05-11:       RFIE letter received

2020-06-08:       RFIE response sent
