called Monday to the NVC and was told they received the case on December 27th still no case number assigned as of yet.

You can go ahead and complete the DS-160 application if you haven’t already done so. 
 

I’m not sure when the next batch of cases will be sent to the embassies but from what I understand I think possibly on Jan 21st. Feel free anyone to correct me if I’m wrong.

I think you are right - from what I have read. I have done the DS160 - I am waiting to submit..

Last go to the top of this page and under the tab "portals" on the blue ribbon choose it and then search for your country. Lots of information there.

 

When executing your AFP be sure you use "You would choose the Commonwealth employment/Purpose for your Purpose Type and then Code 33 for Immigration/Citizenship as your Purpose of Check."

Congratulations. NVC should have your case this week but we are seeing 1-3 weeks for case numbers to be assigned. Contact information is in the PDF on the first page, first post. You can begin calling anytime you would like to but don't be surprise if it's not issued for another week or so.

 

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. The 21st is correct. A mailing schedule is posted in the PDF for others who would like to know when shipments will occur. PDF is on the first page first post. To have your case sent to the embassy it has to have been assigned a case number prior to the Wednesday before the Tuesday shipping date.

First of all, if you haven’t already done so, make sure you complete your DS-160 and request your police certificate.  Now that you have your case number, you can call Knightsbridge to schedule your medical exam.  You’ll need to give them your case number when you schedule your appointment.  When your NVC case status changes to “In-transit” you can go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv to create an account and schedule an interview.  Make sure that you allow at least 5 working days between the date of your medical exam and the date of your interview or risk the results from the exam not arriving in time.  For your interview go here https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/  or call here 442074867822
