On question 40a. of i129f, it says "You are a U.S. citizen through": and it asks you to select one of the options. Since I am a US citizen by birth, I obviously selected the box that says "Birth in the United States". So for question 41 of the i129f form, where it says "Have you obtained a Certificate of Naturalization or a Certificate of Citizenship in your own name?" Should I still check off the box that says "No" even though it's already implied that I did not obtain a Certificate of Naturalization or Certificate of Citizenship based on my answer to question 40a?

Check NO and move on. They will understand from the previous question why you answered no to the form.

On Part 2: Information About Your Beneficiary, the prompt says "If your beneficiary is currently in the United States, complete Item Numbers 38a-38h." Now for items 38a-d, it's asking about the I-94 arrival form which she of course, doesn't have since she has never been in the U.S. before. So I would not answer those. But for items 38e-h, it asks for passport number, passport expiration date, country of issuance, etc. So for that section (38e-h), is it only referring to U.S. passports? Would I fill in the passport information for my beneficiary's passport from her country, or would I only fill out that passport information if she has a U.S. passport specifically? (which she doesn't)

I know I didn't really word that the best way so I hope it's not too confusing. I attached screenshots of the questions so that you can get a better idea of what I'm referring to.

This question comes up from time to time.  Follow the instruction literally.  The key word is CURRENTLY.   It applies to 38a through 38h......If she is not CURRENTLY in the US, then don't fill in 38.a thru 38.h.

BTW:  If she had a US passport, she would be a US citizen.......and this form wouldn't apply.
