Thanks. No I didn't speak with anyone while I was waiting outside of the building. I spent my time in Dunkindonuts which is just 0.1mil away . But there were few folks waiting for the interview as they were prepping from the book.

Thank you for you response. I am happy to hear that they are doing interviews. That is a tiny light in the tunnel. I already lost any hope that this process will ever end.

I thank you all for your assistance and comrade long the way!

Did you apply for a passport? I am curious to see how long it took for you to receive it from the Chicago Passport Agency. I applied for mine on 07/20.

I live In Chicago so my  oath swearing will in the Northern Illinois Court district which is located at downtown Chicago.  If you live in southern Illinois or close to St. Louis , then your oath swearing will be in the southern Illinois court district ( they haven’t set any date for start civic events like naturalizations)

I applied Passport at local post office in Chicago on 09th July and looking at the weekly Thursday report of Passport agency, it is mostly going to take 3 more weeks for the passport to be available. Link - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/ea/passport-covid-19.html

On the other hand, our I-130 is touched again yesterday (date updated), hoping an approval soon. 🙏

Hi everyone.

My interview is originally scheduled on March but it was de scheduled because of COVID. It was rescheduled on August 12, 2019 below is the story of how my interview went (this was posted on another thread):

WOW it was a long day basically spent the whole afternoon at USCIS. We got there at 12noon and there’s no line to get in. My husband came with me. The waiting room is full so we waited outside but they didn’t  let me husband in so waited for me at the lobby. I was called around 1:30pm and I asked the IO if she needs my husband. She answered yes and she let me call him. He waited in the waiting room this time. First she conducted the N-400 it is very easy and passed 100%. So we moved on to I-751 and I sworn in etc. I brought recent bills, tax return etc and handed it all to her. Then the questioning started it was very long!! I was there till 3:30 then it was my husband’s turn and he’s interviewed for almost an hour. We’re both very hungry and thirsty also we’re the one of the last group of people to leave there. They’re just checking bonafide marriage. How we met? Who propose? How many marriages? If my husband has any tattoos, marks? What do we like to do together and so on. I was not prepared for this type of questioning but my husband and I had nothing to hide. I was a bit concerned about his recollections of events and when it happened.

My memory is really good with dates and events. And the IO asked me if my husband remembers everything I remember. I said he will most likely remember the event but not the date LOL. And that’s exactly what my husband told the IO. At the end I was given a paper that my case is under review since I added more proof of bonafide marriage. She said she will talk to her supervisor and recommend approval. She said everything looks good and she just needs to review it.

FAST FORWARD TODAY 8/14/2020

I received a notification that our I-751 and N-400 application is APPROVED!

Now waiting for the Oath ceremony date. Good luck to everyone that's still waiting.
