How are timelines looking like for your field office?

Also the document was added today (I got a notice this morning but the doc was in this afternoon). My interview will be on 3/12 in Charlotte first thing in the morning. I’ve update my VJ timeline to reflect it.

Congrats. I really don’t know about timeline .. i think my field office was MO. How do u check that?

You are talking about your I-751 instead of F-129, right?

What do you mean it was "missing"?

That scares me!

I was also removing conditions and I sent the N400 in December and it also says transferred case, they tell me that sometimes they approve or do interview

Just came home from the interview!

Recommended for approval!

The interview lasted 15 minutes.

The questions asked were:

- Name the war between the North and the South.

- What is the capital of the United States?

- How many US Senators are there?

- Who is the Speaker of the House?

- When must all men register for the Selective Service?

-  Who is in charge of the executive Branch?

Then I had to read - Who elects Congress?

Then I had to type - "The people elect Congress"

Went over the YES & NO questions, confirmed my name change and I was out.

Also, I applied under the 3 year rule, and he crossed out all my info prior to when becoming a LPR - such as address, employment etc.

So no need to put more than 3 years, even if they ask for 5 years on the form.

"One should fill out the form based on his or her statuary period, which in your case is 3 years."

The status on the old site changed directly to "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled" as soon as I walked out of his office.

Praise GOD!

Congratulations

Enter your Zip here https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices to know your field office.

Go here https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/ For VJ timelines. You can update yours, and can also look for citizenship ones and sort by field offices. The timeframe of any application had more to do with your uscis local office than when you apply.

For example Charlotte, NC is mine, and it’s a 4-8 month process. Seattle is like 14+

08.2006: Entered with a B-2 visa.

07.06.07: Civil Wedding

07.17.2008 AOS approved with interview. It took 367 Days!

11.08.08: Big family wedding

09.18.09-10.03.09: First trip to France with Hubby

I-751

04.19.10: Package sent to Vermont

04.21.10: Delivered in Vermont

04.23.10: Check cashed

05.17.10: Received biometrics appointment letter

Congrats. Its a country of immigrants. And English is not the only language thats spoken in the USA. Many places like Miami, Cali, etc most people speak Spanish. Even the announcements at the airports are in Spanish as well as in English. It's a great country thats why people want to migrate here, where people from all different religions, culture, languages, etc are welcome (of course keeping narcissistic people aside).

Well, not MOST people. Quite a few people, yes. smile

Most people in America speak English. But many do not.

According to Wikipedia -  "Approximately 430 languages are spoken or signed by the population of the US".

When you go overseas, the lack of "foreign" language ability is often stark.

And as the joke goes -

"What do you call a person who speaks two languages? Bilingual.

What do you call a person who speaks three languages? Tri-lingual.

What do you call a person that speaks one language? American.

(smile)

Have a good one.

Hello all,

I was K1 but got divorced. I have a GC now. I am from the Middle East.
It is about time to apply for N400.
I am not sure how easy or hard the interview and the officer questions about why did you get divorce in less than a year.

My question, do I have to hire a lawyer. Or it is ok/easy to do it by myself?
I am just worried about the interview since I was married and divorced through K1 waiver

Thanks.
