6 months for the purpose of entry but one year in total.

What purpose does a overseas medical have beyond entry for a spousal visa?

YMMV

Hello! What happens if they issue you a visa right after your medical exam results expire??? Does this ever happen (like in cases where you are under administrative processing for a while)? Thanks...

Asked and answered in other thread.  Don't ask the same question in multiple threads

YMMV

This is actually a different question from the other one I asked (and a necessary one), if you actually looked closely. Thank you.

for those in long AP ,  the embassy will notify the beneficary that a new medical is requied to process the visa

this is now happening a lot because of the new long AP for security checks with the new ds 160, ds 260 or ds 5535

I have a question on this. My wife and me have been in long AP... and my wife was asked to pick up her passport from the US Embassy tomorrow (Monday), but no one ever told us that our Medical Results were expired and that we needed to get a new one. They just told her to pick up the passport. Otherwise, we submitted every other document that they requested from us. What do you think this means???

Yes our Ceac status still says that we’re under AP, but my wife was told to pick up her passport Monday (tomorrow)... and no one ever told her that her medical results were expired or to get a new one. They just said “Pick up your passport.” What do you think this could mean??? Denied?
