there is no way we could have frontloaded since we sent the AoS application roughly 3 weeks after our marriage

"No way" is pushing it. Photos from the wedding with family? Evidence from post-129F filing to AOS (or even that from K-1 obtained to AOS)?

The value of doing so is debatable, though. ;)

the only family was my mom. and we werent able to get  anything else completed in that time because they required her to have a TX ID for whatever reason, her passport, marriage certificate etc were apparently not enough. and  i wanted to make sure we sent everything in before the 90 days had passed for my own peace of mind.

i do have a question if anyone is able to give insight, we went to SSA to get the name change, but they didnt want to do it because of the I94 expiration, even though she already has a card and we brought that with us, so would we be able to go back once we have the combo card or the NOA1 from the AoS?

RoC sent 10/30/21

NOA 11/16/21

Check Cashed 11/18/21

Biometrics Waived 01/19/2022

Fairly typical response from SSA.   Once you have the EAD you can get everything updated

YMMV
