Right, but on the uscis site it says that if you are not currently in the UAE the police certificate is unavailable.

Ok here is what I am seeing

Quote

Police Records for UAE

Available, only if applicant is physically present in the UAE.

Police certificates may be obtained by any person, regardless of nationality, by personally appearing at the Central Police Headquarters located in the emirate of residence or former residence. When appearing to request a police certificate, the applicant should provide recent photographs, a letter from the requesting authority, the date of residence in the emirate, and their passport.
Not available by mail. Post recommends that consular officers waive the general requirement to obtain police certificates unless the applicant lives in the UAE.

From <http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/AE.html>

If this is your case just print off a copy of this directive and bring it to the interview. We have heard of some CO's who are not familiar with will question you. With a copy of the explanation from the Travel State Department they will dismiss this requirement. Information is powerful and now you are informed.

Question, my fiancé worked in Dubai for about 6 months, will he need a police clearance for Dubai?

Required for all countries where you have lived for more than 6 months since the age of 16 and any country where you have been arrested, even if you were not a resident there.  U.S. police certificates are not required.  Police certificates from certain countries are unavailable or are obtained directly by your Embassy (rarely does your embassy execute this step).  Fingerprints are required for certain countries.

Use the link above to find what is needed for any country.

Is it the best time to get the PH NBI clearance yet?

Mmmm. Wondering if anyone from a different country is shooting yourself in the foot. Why not go over to the PH sub-forum and ask you questions their that are specific to the PH.

Blue ribbon at the top of the page, select "forums" then scroll 3/4 of the page down and locate the link that will take you there.

That post is from 2017 and things have changed. I wouldn't trust it. Go to the government source for the most current information. Link is in the post above.

The CO will be familiar with what is available and what isn't available. So when she/he see Dubai they are not going to ask for a PC from that country.

Hello! I have applied for k-1 fiancee visa this month and I would like to visit before the end of the year my fiancee in US. Did someone visit from Europe to their fiancee in the states while applying for the k-1 visa? The lawyer told me is up to the officer at the port of entry to allow someone in the country or not.

Thanks in advance!

Do you need a visa to visit the US as in a tourist visa? UK doesn't require anything but a passport so they can come and go as they please that also includes Canada. Your Lawyer is absolutely right! It's up to immigration whether you are allowed entry and with a pending K-1 they are suspicious as you my marry and void the K-1 which is fraud.

Maybe to some searching from your country's sub-forum here on VJ for "boots on the ground" advice. Details are outline on how to find your sub-forum in a post I made earlier above.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Oof. Some of those stories freaked me out. I had read about some bad cases of being denied entry while on the k-1 visa process, so I told my fiancé that I won’t visit him anymore.

I see no reason to take the risk...

Very, very late to the party. It's been ~60 days since we received our NOA1!

Timeline:

8/27/19 - I-129F package sent to Lockbox

8/29/19 - I-129F package delivered

9/03/19 - Official NOA1

I've been gathering supporting documents for the I-134 recently, but I'm worried it's too early to put any ink to paper.

It's not too early to gather documents but I would hold off in filling out the I-134 as you don't know when you will be approved and at that time what the current I-134 will look like. Give it some more time.

What about the police certificates? I’ve seen that they’re valid for one year. You only need one for each country you lived in?

Most are valid for one year BUT an embassy can require that they are no older then 6 months. The embassy in The Philippines reqires 6 months as an rxample. You won't go wrong if your within 6 months.
