There are new rules that she must be in atlanta for biometrics

I see so sorry

and it does say,  she should make an appointment so the biometrics and interview happen the same day

you know she needs a letter of invitation (for business this should be a business or  company)

Not presently working....and a college student.

Curious what else is in her circumstances that qualifies her for a business visa to enter Nigeria?  Tourist visa seems more feasible.

The distance to Atlanta for a tourist or visiting visa is the issue....i can apply and get a business visa that could allow her legally into the country.

Would that affect our immigrant visa application???

I can process a visa on arrival on her behalf and when she gets to the port of entry, she can pay for the visa and get a business visa cause according to the immigration org, visa on arrival is meant for business travellers......just dont want her going through the stress of travelling 11 hours on the road.

Won't that be misuse of the purpose of a business visa?

The issue for the business visa, I believe, is more "how would she qualify" without any sort of business reason/business itinerary/proof of employment when applying.

Something for you to look into.

yes,  according to the Nigerian web page

as she does not yet work so what is her business

to the OP

just save this as an issue,  and do the tourist visa

To let you know when an America is sent to Nigeria on business,  they have to create a will, and make arrangements for a pay check to go directly into bank account here.  this is what oil companies and others going to Nigeria do when on business. It is because of the dangers Americans face when going there on business especially.

Okay...thanks,i can get the requirements, all that is needed in addition to requirements for visiting visa is a business certificate of incorporation and a letter of invitation from the company and a letter of introduction from her.

Why?  Sounds like you are trying to "create" a business for the sole purpose of getting her into the country to marry you.........why can't she just apply for a Nigerian tourist visa?

Oh I hope this isn't the plan...CO's are very well-trained at putting 2 and 2 together.

Might open up a whole new can of worms.
