Hello friends..... my fiancee is coming into the country for our marriage, she lives in florida but the closest consulate to her is located in atlanta which takes about 11 hours drive, she has kids which is gonna make the trip a stressful one. We decided to make use of a visa on arrival category on the consulates website which they claim is mainly for business visa. I hope using a Business Visa to come into Nigeria for our wedding would not jeopardize our US immigrant visa process?????

Thanks.

Has she been to Nigeria before?  How much time have you actually spent together?

From your previous posts, it appears she is a college student with 3 children.  How is she going to sponsor you financially?  Health care? living expenses?  Marrying on the first visit is a big red flag......and this is Nigeria......

Please listen to the advice. Marrying on the first trip is never a good idea. Double not-good when it's Nigeria.

She plans visiting twice after the wedding before the interview and she's gonna start a job soon. Shes gonna get a joint sponsor, she has her tax return intact.

might seem more appropriate, in my mind, to marry on the 3rd visit.......

Maybe she would like to open a free account here on Visa Journey to discuss any questions she might have.

Not presently working....and a college student.

Curious what else is in her circumstances that qualifies her for a business visa to enter Nigeria?  Tourist visa seems more feasible.

I will tell you one of the issues i got in an RFE for our visa

USCIS asked for proof of who paid for my trips (I,  the USC, did)  I had to send bank statements of 3 months before and 3 months after each trip to show i paid and no one reimbursed me for the trips. So,  she better open that bank account back up.

The embassy will ask how she can afford to make these trips to Nigeria as she is a student.

Her income will need to be $37,713 for you, herself and 3 children 125% for a CR1 /  and now many embassies are looking for higher as that is poverty level. and even with a cosponsor, they really look closely at sponsor income in high fraud countries.
