I thought this was an interesting case, more for the quality of the reporting when nobody would know why he was deported, a distinct lack of critical thinking.

 

To think that he is likely to be coming back any time soon does not pass the smell test.

To be fair, the reporters are almost certainly kids themselves. Nobody said Harvard students had much sense!

   The rest of the article was filler. Regardless of other details, they can't change the part quoted above.

  True, but since the quote directly from CBP in regards to this case, we could skip around much of the speculation made in the article. Even the "deported" part is probably creative license.

I wondered about the Deported, know way of knowing and probably just used as a term to being sent back.

  Yeah, and to be honest they probably did better than most at this type of article. At least they got us the quote from CBP.

Actually that was the odd bit, normally they quote privacy issues and make a general statement.
