Hi, its been a while, I got my interview scheduled. But I got a question, let's say if you filed for the travel authorization and after getting the green card, can you travel to your home country without problems on your way back? Or is the travel authorization only for emergencies?

Thank you!

If you have the GC then the travel authorization is moot.

After I-485 approval the pending I-131 for Advance Parole is closed.

You'll show your Green Card (Form I-551) to CBP. Admission is almost always granted to Permanent Residents; just remember that entry isn't guaranteed. Only US nationals (i.e. US citizens, American Samoans, Swains Islanders, and CNMI individuals that chose not to get US citizenship) and American Indians born in Canada (with at least 50% American Indian blood) are guaranteed entry to the US.

I just want to say thank you all who answered all my questions, this is a life changing time for me and my husband, and we will be able to start our new journey together! We got approved at the interview and I'll be getting my green card within 2 weeks! We are so happy! As you all know it's been really stressful.

I know some of you guys already got your paperwork done but are still taking your precious time helping other lost souls here on visajourney!

Thank you guys!
