Using extreme cases to compare this situation is very unwise.....obtaining a visa after no visits in 4 years would be extremely unlikely.....

There are so many ways one can establish ties or show that his marriage is genuine. Visiting is one of them and not the only way. I can give up to 5 guys that never visited after they married. One of 4 years is just an extreme case. He should be fine with a statement of account with a regular inflow from him, pictures, email, and even Facebook messages. I don't work at the embassy but because I have seen many successful cases like his from his country, Nigeria, I am sure he does not have any problem.

God bless you Boss thanks a lot

Kunle, I don't know the kind of documents you have to demonstrate ties with your wife. But irregular or no visit at all after marriage is common in Nigeria and the embassy does not deny based on it alone. Other embassies may be strict on it but not in Nigeria.

Lagos is strict.....Why?  Because Nigeria is known as the highest level of fraud....above others...In addition, evidence of time actually spent together is the very best evidence international couples can provide.

This advice seems at odds with everyone else’s experience at Lagos embassy - everyone on here posts about how difficult Lagos is, how much face time they expect you to have, how they almost seem to look for any excuse to deny the visa, because of how high fraud Nigeria is...your advice seems to be the opposite of what everyone else says...?

Hi Kunle. You don't have any problem. I know about a guy who after his court marriage didn't visit his wife for about 4 years. I mean throughout the time his wife was in Nigeria, he didn't visit. He only came for the court marriage and never showed up again until his wife was granted a visa. His reason was that he would bring his wife after had secured his citizenship. His wife only showed bank statements of account, pictures and emails.

Bro visa approved thanks a lot Bro God bless you thanks for the encouragement,I’m very grateful

I was only asked to present my divorce papers and pics that’s it,questions like where does my wife work?how and when did we meet? Was she previously married? Just normal questions that shouldn’t be a problem in a bonafide marriage, but from what I noticed you’ll be asked questions that specifically suits your own situation so there’s nothing to worry about ....good luck to everyone
