Hello,

i am courtney an United States citizen who recently married the love of my life and best friend Hugo from Sweden. We met at City College and he is currently here legally on a student F-1 Visa. Just looking for any help we can get on what forms to file first. I know of all the forms like the I-130 and I-485 but unsure what forms need to be submitted with what. Any help would be so appreciated, with immigration so serious right now, even though he is here legally we are so scared of being separated at anytime, I cannot lose him!

Look under the Guides tab on any vj page. Adjustment of status from work or student visa.  Have a good read , search for all the firms and their official instructions .. then come ask questions to help you get a good understanding of the process

Hello

Congratulations! This is an awesome picture.

Forms:

I-130

I-130A

I-485

I-864

I-765

I-131

Make sure to read the instructions for each very carefully.

First 4 forms are mandatory.

The last 2 are optional and highly recommended but free and when filed out with the others, and will also help you because they are respectively work permit and travel permit.

Good luck and Happy married life!
