Your question was posted on the wrong forum. The moderator moved it to the right one.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

It won't impact the timeline now. Upgrading the petition only matters in I-130 adjudication timelines + when the PD becomes current.  Since your I-130 was already approved and PD was current, it no longer has any difference in the timeline. The wait for an appointment is just what it is.

so you are saying that for example if NVC has 2 cases one of them is IR2 and the other is F2A the first one has received an email  today indicating that he's waiting for his interview date  and the other's priority date became current yesterday the NVC will adjust the interview for the second one regardless of his visa category ?? am i right ??

There's only one case per petition. The same petition cannot exist in 2 categories at the same time.

NVC will notify you of the appointment once it is scheduled. Unfortunately, this can take a while with some consulates/embassies. But it won't take longer at this stage due to the category of the petition.
