i-130 for children

Dear all,

 

my husband is the US citizen, I am an LPR and we are on my husband military orders overseas. My children actually do not have a green card although they live with us. For the longest time, we thought it wasn't necessary. However, we do need the green card for them now and plan ahead for the next military move.

 

Do we file two separate I-130s and then mail them in the same envelope or can we actually combine the different petitions? My husband will be the petitioner.

 

Is there anything we need to consider before filing? Any particularities that are different from the spousal visa petition my husband filled out for me?

Separate petitions for each child,  can submit in the same envelope

Also, look into DCF instead of filing in the US.

1/2/18: EAD + AP approved (no website update), 1/5/18: EAD + AP mailed, 1/8/18: EAD + AP approval notice hardcopies received, 1/10/18: EAD + AP received

9/5/18: Interview scheduled notice, 10/17/18: Interview

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

7/19/2017: Visa in hand

“My children” in her post suggests they are not from her current USC spouse.
