@erikavsw I think that’s the expected waiting tim3 before the nex5 action is taken 9n your file, which looks like scheduling your biometrics appointment.

Thanks! It’s so weird because for other field offices it just takes about 7 days to schedule a biometric appointment. If that estimate turned out to be accurate mine would have taken 15 days plus or minus. My completion date estimate too did not appear until 5 days from NOA receipt. Darn. I think I got the short end of the stick here with St. Paul MN. I sure hope my scheduled appointment comes before 08/15 (moving to another state on this date) otherwise I would have to walk in and with my luck, I foresee it being a disaster. Lol.

Once you get your appointment letter you may be able to do an early walk in.  Our office says they don't take walk ins without an appointment. However, if you have a letter with an appointment scheduled, they will let you wait until they have seen everyone who had an appointment and then let you do it.  Probably because they need the bar code on the letter so they can scan all your information into your file online - but once you have the letter, it's worth a shot :)

Hello all,

I just filed my application this morning on my.uscis.gov.

For now, the only thing that shows on my home page is the receipt number (started with IOE...) and Submitted Date (July 19). And then below that is this:

You successfully submitted your form

We are processing your form. It can take up to 48 hours for all of your case information to show on your home page.

We will notify you when we take an action on your case. You can edit your email and text message notification preferences in your profile.

Also, the only email I received was from pay.gov confirming my payment. Nothing from the USCIS.

Is this right?

N-400:

07/19/2019: Applied online

08/07/2019: Biometrics

01/22/2020: Interview scheduled

02/26/2020: Interview.

02/27/2020: Status changed to Approved. Oath scheduled for 03/18/2020

Yes, this is normal. After a few days they will send out your paper NOA1 and usually a week or two after that, depending on your service center, they will send you your biometrics notice :)

Welcome to JULY!!

Submitted application for me and my wife on July 19th (Fairfax , VA)

My case status says 8 months completion, biometric scheduled.

My wife’s case still says - it may take up to 48 hours message.

is this normal ?

Also, noticed in the spreadsheet that most of the people did the biometric before the scheduled date. Is that allowed?

Second step came pretty fast. Biometrics scheduled. Last time I tried  walk-in for the ROC they told me they did not accept walk-in but did it anyway in about 10 mins. I will attempt another walk-in once I get the letter.  Anyone knows if I can print the letter and do the biometrics with that or do I have wait for the official letter from USCIS?

I don’t think ‘days countdown, has anything to do with field office.

-filed my wife case yesterday morning and it shows 5 day countdown

-field my case in evening and it shows biometrics scheduled

did your countdown go down on daily basis?

Yes. It took 4 days instead of 5, but it did count from the day I applied.

The countdown seems to be the number of days to expect biometrics scheduling. It's an estimate.

How did you find out how many months it will take to complete the case? Where i can see that?
