We received our DQ email at 8:05 EST this morning. The NVC sent the message for DQ in CEAC at 7:35. We are really happy and what the one poster said about there being a 40 minute delay between seeing the messages in CEAC to an email is correct and something to watch for for people still waiting. I wish everyone else much patience and fortitude during your wait with the NVC. Thank you for all the help!

Congratulations! So happy for you! Did you end up escalating it to a supervisor after the 3 weeks? If so, how long til you got DQ after calling?

Hi, how can you know uscis sent your file to NVC? Hope you get DQ very soon.

You can use your USCIS tracking number on their case status link to see whether it has left their facility or not. After it leaves their facility, you can then call the NVC to see if they have received the packet (once you get the dial tone menu it’s the “if we received your mail” option). It seems like it’s taking 1-6 weeks for NVC to receive the packets from USCIS and 4-8 weeks to receive a case number thereafter.

I-130 Sent: 2019-02-24

Case/invoice number assigned: 2019-08-27

What date do they base on for the date submitted? On the date you filed the ds260? On the date they received your i864 and supporting documents? On the date they finally received approval notice from uscis!?

How do you know if it has left the facility? Will it say sent to nvc/dos inter of just saying your case has been approved?

I believe mine said something along the lines from petition approved when my I-130 was approved and then shortly thereafter (maybe 12 days), it changed to saying that the case was sent to the Department of State for processing (and also listed the date it was sent).

That happened with mine 19 days after approval for my i130 however with my i601a it has been 27 days since approval and still nothing. I called and was first told just like it says on the approval letter that the notice had been sent then I was put on hold and when the lady came back she said you must allow for 90 days to pass for uscis to send notification and hung up on me. I called nvc and they asked me my receipt number and approval date and said they would be taking it up with a supervisor so that they could ask uscis for my approval notice. I’ve already submitted payments, ds260 and have sent all the supporting documents. Sadly I had to send supporting documents and affidavit of support via mail

I'm not very familiar with the notices that go along with i601a, but hopefully it can be resolved quickly! Sounds like there's already been a lot of waiting and shuffling around to speak to people for answers. Wishing you the best, so sorry you to hear you had to send some stuff snail mail and get supervisors involved to get things moving along

Was that for the approval of an i130? I601a?
