You don't need an underlying crime for a charge of obstruction of justice to stick. Just ask Martha Stewart and Scooter Libby.

 

Unfortunately, having weighed the opinions of nearly 500 (and counting) federal prosecutors against NB, I tend to agree the prosecutors on this occasion. Sorry NB. :(❤️

So according to these “unbiased” prosecutors, anyone can be indicted on a whim based solely on thought.  Got it.

Ok, I will change my opinion.  It really seems this letter is really simply stating the obvious from a legal standpoint, but appears to be just another political hit piece.

 

The real controversy is whether President Trump’s actions, that were authorized by the Constitution, could constitute the crime of obstruction of justice. Barr is right in concluding it couldn’t. Mueller is wrong in concluding it could.
