Hi all!. Mom's interview is on Nov. 15. Filed March 2019. Documents uploaded to ceac are not updated. Questions pls..

1) Do I still need to upload updated docs such as Affidavit of Support etc? Or is it just fine that mom brings updated ones to interview?

2) I have my spouse as joint sponsor but was laid off because of pandemic. He does not have income this year but I myself already meet income requirements. Will it be an issue that I included him as joint sponsor?

Pls help. Thanks.

Congratulations on the interview appointment! I believe you just need to bring all documents during interview including updated ones. I could be wrong. Following for clarifications.

She is scheduled for interview on November 3. We had to reschedule because of the sputum culture delay. I had to reupload latest tax documents and W2 on the NVC site since the one that’s there was 2 years old already. I had my mother print the same documents so she could give it on the interview if they need it. Good luck to us.

Hi! How did your mom’s interview go? What were the questions that they asked her? Any update would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

It was straight forward. My mother had an issue with INA 212(a)(6)(c)(1) so she was denied and I will try to submit a I-601 waiver and see what that brings us.

I resent an updated tax transcript and W2 though because it has been more than a year since I submitted those documents. I had my mother print those also and have it with her for the interview.

Thank you for the update! Did she get denied because of the public charge rule? Like the health insurance? Isnt that stopped already? Did they ask for the physical copy of the recent tax transcript and w2?

INA 212(a)(6)(c)(1) involves fraud or misrepresentation, possibly resulting in a lifetime ban :(

Did anyone have a hard time rescheduling an appointment in US Embassy in Manila? I tried calling and they said I can only schedule online on US Travel Docs website. I've been checking daily for more than 2 months now and I couldn't get a new appointment. My mother was supposed to have an interview on Nov 17 (we recieved the notice on october 20, she did medical on october 26) and then the medical results is released on dec 29 so she wasn't able to do the November 17 appointment. I am a bit frustrated now. I tried emailing and calling but they're not helpful at all.

My mom’s case got approved to get expedite last November and her case have been in US embassy manila and never heard from them since. I called once and they told me I can schedule online. I’ve been checking 3x a day and never seen any appointment dates available. Their automatic email response said their routine non urgent interview will resume on March.
