After filing for the IR5 application and 2 years, I got all papers done from our side.

Civil documents and all documents were updated to the ceac website on 5th May 2021.

I guess now waiting for documentation qualification status?

First waiting for DQ ( it will probably take a few months) and then waiting for the interview. The interview part could take a while, depending on the embassy in your country.

Received an email last night about my mom’s interview at US embassy Manila. Now scrambling to schedule her medical and get her police clearances and other documents again.

Hello! I have two questions, did your parents had an appointment scheduled last year before the pandemic started? Did you call them to have it expedited?? I wanted to try and call nvc for my mom

Yes my mom had an appoint last year that got cancelled, and no I didn’t have to call them.

My father-in-law’s papers are also still with NVC and I was asking my wife to do the same thing you are planning. Let me know how it goes.

Hi again,

How did the interview went? I finally just recieved an email for my mom's interview after waiting for so long. Do you have any tips you can give? I'm trying to make this last process as smooth as possible for my mother. I am so excited!

April 2019. I kept inquiring about her case and all their replies are her case is documentarily  qualified. I even attempted to request to expedite her case but was not granted.

She is scheduled for interview on November 3. We had to reschedule because of the sputum culture delay. I had to reupload latest tax documents and W2 on the NVC site since the one that’s there was 2 years old already. I had my mother print the same documents so she could give it on the interview if they need it. Good luck to us.

I just told them that my kids went back to school in person making it difficult for me to work. That if my parents are here it would make it easier for us. I just attached pictures of my kids on their first day of school.

Is your mom’s case in MNL now or still at NVC?
