ARGENTINA Packet 3 + Embassy interview

Everyone! Just to give some reference about the dates.

I went to book my appointment yesterday and the following available date was June 26th. I was very happy because it was really soon and I'm ready for it. I didn't do it because I wanted to ask the embassy if that was enough time for my papers to be checked. (9 days in advance)

They replied today and told me that it was enough but when I went to save my date... JULY 15TH was the next available date.

Not going to lie, not too happy about it. One more month when you're ready to go sounds like a lot but it is what it is. We came this far so one more month is doable. I will try to get a sooner interview once I drop the packet 3.

Write them a n e-mail requesting for a date in June and see of they open new ones. You can let them know that prior to the e-mail with the P3 question, you saw June 26th as an option.

Thank you @Fe.Ta

I booked the July 15th for now (didn't want to lose that one too) and on Monday when I drop my packet 3 I will ask for a sooner date.

Leason learnt: book first, ask later.

Yes, that’s what we did. We booked it and then asked if it would be enough time, which there was and we were able to roll with it.

Hi all!

So, another update:

My fiance completed the police certificate today using the express service at Tucuman and HE LOVED it!  We did everything online and then he just printed off the form.  From what he shared, he showed up with the copy of the DNI and the actual form filled and signed.  They asked him for the paperwork and to go to the cashier to pay.  Then, after everything was completed (about 10 minutes), they told him they would email it to the e-mail address provided.  We got it this afternoon and it is printed and ready to go into P3.  If you are from other areas, feel free to go to Tucuman and get it done.  My fiance's local office did not have an appointment until May 29th and the express services were not available at the moment.  It was good to know we had other others. :)

Overall, today was a better day than yesterday!  We should have things completed by tomorrow so I can mail him my things and he can personally deliver them on Thursday.  Things are looking up today!

Do you need an appointment for the express police certificate at Tucuman? How much does it cost? This is one of the last things we need for our P3...have our case # and waiting for it to arrive at the embassy! :D

I think you don’t need an appointment for the one in Tucuman. It costs 180 pesos the express one.

That was my experience on March. Google RNR registro nacional de reincidencia for more information.

Sorry for the delayed response.  We are settling into our new life together and it can get crazy.

Here is the location:  Sede Central Tramite Express Tucuman 1357 C1050 CABA

As of June 3rd, Tucuman is  ONLY accepting the 1 hour express and NOT the 24 hours (see website)

https://www.dnrec.jus.gov.ar/

You must complete the form online and print it.

You do not need an appointment and the hours are Monday-Friday 13:00-17:00PM

You are requesting:  "Certificado de Antecedentes Penales CON Excepcion al Articulo 51 del Codigo Penal para una Visa K1"

You must bring:  Printed form and a copy of your DNI.

When we did it back in May, it was about $500 AR Pesos for the 1 hour.

Let me know if you need any other info.

We entered through the Miami airport.  Because our original flight got delayed by 15 minutes, we were handed off some orange sleeves that  would have expedited the process through regular immigration and security.  HOWEVER, because we had a visa, these "express sleeves" were useless to us.  When we arrived at the immigration window, they did the normal process and then instructed us to go to the immigration room where we waited for the packet to be reviewed.  We were not interviewed or questioned for too long.  They only asked us where we were going to live, how we met, and finally when we were going to get married so they could let us know it was OK and it fell within the allowed window of staying within the visa.  We still missed our next flight, which we knew we would, but it wasn't because of immigration taking as long as in other cases.  It was because the allotted window (1 hour or so) was not enough to go through a normal U.S. entry when you are coming internationally (even of a U.S. citizen) AND go through the immigration that checks a visa plus grabbing the luggage to recheck prior to boarding.  We hope that helps!

Hi All!

NO new updates from us.  It has been relatively quiet here, so we are just checking in on those that are still waiting on interviews, etc.?  Any news?
