Don’t rely on system status they never update just check the mail box everyday as you can..

Try not to focus on status find something to kill time hit to the gym , travel in US...go to learn driving if you need to get license  ..I wish I can get AP first so I can go home for a month to visit family  then come back start longgggggg working

Hi everyone my hubby completed his biometrics on June 6 and has a job interview today. 

 

1.) How does the process work for expediting his authorization to work??

 

I know he needs a job offer first..

 

2.) what should he tell the employer as far as waiting times ??

I'm curious to know too. My husband would like to apply for jobs and try to expedite if he gets an offer, but we're not sure what to tell the employers or how it all works either.

Ok thanks! I looked around on VJ and found a few ppl in the April 2019 AOS group who had theirs expedited so you may want to read through those. It seems they had other situations not just offer letters, so I'm not sure that an offer letter alone will get an expedited EAD, maybe something to ask when you call. Please keep me informed once you talk to USCIS.

I just spoke with a representative .. 

the premium processing and expediting are not the same 

the expediting does not req a fee and a response/decision to expedite or not is given within 5 days

keep us updated if you do request it! My husband had a phone interview yesterday and they referred his application forward so we may be looking to expedite also.

Ok, will do. Yes, my husband did biometrics 6/17. What did your husband tell the employer concerning his status (and being able to start work) if you don't mind me asking and does he have his SSN?

They asked him if he was going to need a visa to work and he said No that all he needed was an offer letter so he can expedite his work permit. And yes, he has his SSN stamped "valid for work only with DHS authorization"

We did biometrics on June 6th 

 

I don’t think the offer will be enough ..

it seems we will have to show severe financial need/loss
