My case has been "ready to schedule" since April 2019, filed November 2018. My extension letter will 'expire' in a few months, and I'm getting anxious about that since I have a lot of travel planned for the summer. Has anyone had their letter expire and get a new one? or do I try to get a stamp when the time comes? I'm confused about how to go about getting a stamp in your passport, since it seems like it's impossible to get an interview at my local (NYC office)?

To comfort you, I’ve been observing some cases close to my case number, they filed in June 2019, few days ago one status changed to New card being produced from ‘ RFE responses received’ another one ‘ approved’ from case ‘ready to be scheduled for an interview’. I guess nowadays they are approving MSC application without an interview. I hope you will hear something real soon, are you in Manhattan office or in Brooklyn?

Hmm interesting.. So it's possible that it could go from "ready to be scheduled" to being approved? Manhattan Office.

There won’t be any other extension letter. 30 days before your Extension letter expires you need to call USCIS and schedule infopass appointment for the purpose of stamping your passport. It has to be 30 days or less or they won’t listen to you.

The question is : if these cases in NYC or not! Because it seems like a lot of cities are moving except for nyc😡

This is something impossible to know, but I guess the lockbox facility assign case number by keeping local office closer. Because most often when people get schedule for interview, a group of cases are get scheduled together

Based on how long everything is taking, we're also going to go ahead and apply in February.

Do you know when the fees will increase? I remember reading it was going to become effective in the second year of the financial year that started in October 2019. So would this mean the increase would go into effect October 2020?

I'm not sure when the new fees will go into effect. I tried searching for it and was unable to uncover any official date. It seems like it may just be a "proposed" increase at this time?

Same. I couldn't find anything either. I'm hoping they'll stay proposed for the foreseeable future. I know the citizenship test will change December 2020 or in early 2021. I'm not sure if those who apply before the change will have to take the new test or if they'll be grandfathered in with the old test. We'll see!

My husband also has a local office of Minneapolis. Got his biometrics done within a couple months of us filing in March. Now we’ve been sitting at ‘ready to schedule an interview’ since August. But as someone else mentioned, we are at the slowest office 😭

Hello mrath5!

Still on the waiver. Nothing after July 24th 2019 when case updated to ready for interview.

What's your status at now?

Also waiver, and ready for interview since June. When was the last that they captured your biometrics?
