  Should have stuck with that bold part Bill. Anyone who thinks Democrats are somehow different that Republicans in this regard just reveals a bias towards one and against the other.

For some reason though, we seem to get this more from the Democrat side, than from the GOP side.  Many of the ECs from President Obama were more about restricting peoples freedoms, etc., the Dems are always ready with their gun control proposals again restricting people's freedom.  Now, the DemSocs that seem to be greatly influencing the Democrat party area all about telling us how to live our lives, what products to buy, etc.

honestly i think it is due more to perception, restricting freedoms to me comes more from evangelicals, or pro business lobbyists who want to crush unions, or the government telling clinics not to offer things like contraception or funding gets taken away

 

we see it from opposite ends, but i see that it is pervasive to both groups of people. it is why i believe that the media and talking heads have done so much to really polarize us, that it does no one any good because it prevents us from coming together and talking about it. we may not agree on most things, but i think we do agree that no one is without blame in this mess. i dont think the majority of people are really that enthusiastic about either party anymore and thats why self declared independents are rising in greater numbers

 

at least now i understand the mindset of the more rational people that support trump, even though i never will

 

if you want to talk about gun control, i think that could be a whole topic itself. as i said i am pro gun ( i mean i live in Texas, practically everyone here liberal or conservative alike has a gun or at the very least knows how to use them safely), but i am very anti NRA.

I actually agree with her on this. Anybody that goes to work full time should make a living wage. That does not mean getting nails done etc.. but everyone that works hard should be able to afford housing, food and health care as a min.

 

We are to wealthy a country to have people losing everything they own because they got sick

So the government should set an artificial wage floor?  Maybe price caps should be on the list as well.  For being an economics major, AOC seems to be oblivious to the concept of supply and demand and what effects government action like minimum wage and price ceilings may have on the overall economy.
