Manila K1 Interview : neither approved nor denied...

My fiance had her interview but did not receive an approval or denial. As far as I'm aware no paperwork was provided to her with any other details, so I'm at a loss what to do now other than wait for a decision... which is what the embassy told her to do.

We only knew each other for a short time before I proposed (1 day), from what my fiance said that is what the issue centers around. Really disappointed right now and was totally not expecting this result :(

Being real, proposing on the first day of the meeting your fiance likely wont bode well for approval, and Manilla can be a tough embassy for K1s in general.

There's a chance as you weren't apparently denied, but if you are then I would advise marrying and having several visits or, at least, meets in person before trying again.

We spent 1.5 days together in person.

Haven't been able to return due to the need to work.

We keep in contact daily on Facebook Messenger, so I provided some of our chat logs including summaries of how long we were video chatting. Also photos of us together were provided.

Apparently they had my fiance write down how we met etc. and I think they took her passport but not sure yet if she means the copy or the actual passport.

Just found out they took her actual passport and cenomar, nbi, birth cert etc. and gave her an IMBRA pamphlet

Manila is definitely not a difficult embassy for K1s

The information that was in the CGI Federal site disappeared ... before it had our visa info K1 and the delivery info... plus fee payment. Not sure if that means anything. My fiance should get her passport back even if it's not approved, but will they use the delivery method we specified for her visa? CEAC also shows an update on the date of her interview in our case, but it just says "Ready"

I've now learned the embassy also kept her original copies of birth certificate, cenomar, nbi and also some copies of the supporting documents.

Is that normal?

Our case is now showing "Administrative Processing" on the CEAC page. That's under the "Immigrant Visa" option.

That's normal so far. If it goes to non-immigrant, then that's a good sign. Then it'll go back to immigrant before being issued.
