Paying for Airline ticket in Philippines

My fiancé lives in the Philippines and I sent her money through western union to cover all of her K-1 visa expenses, including her plane ticket to Manila and back to Cebu. She doesn’t know how to purchase the tickets. I used Priceline when I have traveled there, but they don’t have don’t payment options for her. Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thank you

 My suggestion is you can purchase the tickets online for her, and send  her the confirmation email so she can print the tickets in the airport.

She can go to a travel agency to buy a ticket.

That's what I was thinking, too.  Surely there are travel agencies in Cebu.  I suppose they might not all be easily accessible for everyone. 

 

If it's anything like Thailand, they're plentiful in the tourist areas.  In Phuket, I could walk 500 meters and find many travel agency shops.

 

Another option might be to take the money you send through Western Union and possibly get a credit card that you pre pay the money to.  She could then buy online at Kayak,Orbitz, Expedia, and etc.  Not sure if those prepay cards would be available from the banks in the PI.

too much Hussle. plus they charge extra.. if the fiance has internet she can download the app of the airline and book a flight there and pay it in Western Union or ML or any remittance..she can also check in online in the app and if she has no check in baggage she can just go straight to the bording gate with her boarding pass without checking in in the airport.

 

The USC fiance ofcourse can book a ticket for her then send the itinerary to her and she can check in online via airline app if she want.

 

it work either way to me all the time..i travel domestic flight alot when i was in the Philippines and i find this as an easy way for me.

It's actually not that much of a hassle at all. I have booked several tickets at agencies in the Philippines. I am going off of the OP saying that they sent the money to their fiancé to cover the plane ticket. So that would mean that she would have cash to make the purchase and it more than likely would not be on a card.

well they could do whatever is convenient to the fiance.it would be like the same thing.. the advantage for me of having the domestic airline app is that you can chose which time is convenient for you and you can check in online via app too..plus the fiance have to go to any remittance anyway to pay the airline tickets.

Thank you. It was actually pretty simple. They gave her a code after selecting her flight, and then she could pay in cash at the 7/11 store

Go to a local Cebu Pacific Air office? There are several in Cebu and Manila...I have done that once. I always make the reservation myself from here. Painless. If she is in the province it is always easier for you to do all of that from the US than it is for her...
